How Can You Stay Hygienic When Living in a Student Apartment?

If one of your roommates gets sick, there’s always the chance that everyone else in your apartment will get sick. Unfortunately, when you’re living in Gainesville off-campus apartments, you’ll have no choice but to deal with your sick roommates until they get better. Until then, here are some tips on avoiding catching whatever they caught.

How Can You Stay Hygienic When Living in a Student Apartment?

If you haven’t already, go to the store and stock up on sanitizing wipes. You can use these wipes to disinfect the TV remote, kitchen countertops, doorknobs, tables and anything else that your sick roommate might have touched. You can also grab a disinfecting spray to cover large areas at once.

One of the advantages of living in off-campus housing is that you get your own room to yourself. Make it clear to your roommate that they’re not allowed to enter your room. It’s probably a good idea for you to stay out of their room as well. If your roommate quarantines themselves in their bedroom, they might be able to avoid infecting everyone else.

You should also wash your hands as much as possible. Make sure you wash your hands for at least twenty seconds and use soap and warm water. You can also carry around a bottle of hand sanitizer to disinfect your hands on the go.
